On our shooting range with targets and 3D targets, our trainer will show you how to use a bow and arrow correctly and, above all, safely. With our tips and tricks you'll quickly get the hang of how to use the instinctive archery technique. As soon as you have familiarized yourself with the technology, you can start the 3D hunting bow course.

3D ARCHERY COURSE

On the hunt for local animals

Our hunting archery course with lifelike, three-dimensional targets delights young and old alike. The course offers 15 stations with native animals that are available for hunting. You can also learn interesting facts about our fauna on the information boards at the stations. The shooting marks correspond to the WA (World Archery) rules.

In his workshop in Altenmarkt-Zauchensee, Wolfgang produces composit bows, English longbows and Viking bows individually tailored to body size and strength on request.

WHAT ABOUT THE TOPIC "SECURITY"?

The shooting range and the 3D hunting bow course are built and certified according to ÖN S 1244. The instruction video and practical instructions from a trainer on the shooting range are mandatory for everyone. Here you will get the basics for safe use of a bow and arrow. CERTAINLY lots of fun in the Altenmarkt adventure forest!

FROM WHAT AGE I AM ALLOWED TO DO THE ARCHERY IN THE ERLEBNISIWALD ALTENMARKT?

We recommend the archery course for ages 6 and up. Up to the age of 18, the archery course may only be carried out when accompanied by an adult.

WILL THE TRAINER ACCOMPANY YOU ON THE ARCH COURSE?

No. There is a trainer on site at the shooting range and at the first station (right next to the shooting range).

DO I HAVE TO PAY ENTRY IF I DO NOT SHOOT ACTIVELY WITH BOW AND ARROW?

No. However, children and young people up to the age of 17 must be actively supervised, i.e. the person caring for them must be present at every shot.

WHAT IS A 3D HUNTING BOW COURSE?

On our 3D BOW HUNTING COURSE you can shoot realistic, three-dimensional animals made of foam. The shooting distances here correspond to the WA (World Archery) rules and are divided into four groups (1-4).

CAN I SMOKE IN THE AREAL OF THE ERLEBNISWALD ALTENMARKT?

Your health, our health and the health of our forest are very important to us. There is therefore a strict ban on smoking throughout the entire area. We also want to counteract littering in the forest. In addition, the wonderful smell of the forest is part of the “forest experience”. We ask you to respect this!

DO I NEED PRIOR KNOWLEDGE BEFORE I SHOOT WITH BOW AND ARROW?

No. The trainer will equip you with the right equipment. After theoretical and practical training, you can complete the 3D BOW HUNTING COURSE independently.

WHICH CLOTHING IS RIGHT?

Closed shoes and clothing that is not too loose are sufficient to complete the course with us. Long hair is tied into a braid.

CAN I TAKE MY DOG TO THE FACILITY?

Yes. However, dogs must always be kept on a leash.

DO YOU HAVE DRINKS AND FOOD?

Yes! But only little things. Bottled juices and ice cream. Not far from us (approx. 10 minutes walk) is the “Neuhäusl” inn, which would be happy if you came by for a lunch snack.

CAN I CONSUME THE FOOD AND DRINKS I BROUGHT WITH ME?

Yes. But everything you bring with you into nature - including in our adventure forest - you take back with you and please dispose of any packaging/bottles you have brought with you yourself and professionally.

CAN I SHOOT A BOW AND ARROW WHEN DRUNK AND / OR UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF DRUGS?

No. As soon as we notice that a guest does not have all their senses together, they will be expelled from the area. Archery requires concentration and mindfulness.

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO GET TO YOU?

You can easily and comfortably take the path from Altenmarkt by bike or on foot - it meanders nicely and flatly along the stream. Or you can use public transport - the next bus stop is at the Bergbahnen Altenmarkt valley station (diagonally opposite is the adventure forest - approx. 4 minutes on foot). If you come by car, you can park directly with us (10 parking spaces) or you can park in the large parking lot at the Bergbahnen Altenmarkt valley station (diagonally opposite is the adventure forest - approx. 4 minutes on foot).
